Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our machinery and equipment. This includes performing repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
- Make repairs or adjustments to keep equipment functioning properly and efficiently.
- Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments.
- Perform skilled operations such as filing and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts.
Requirements and Preferences
- Graduation from a three-year formalized program including blueprint reading and interpretation required.
- 1-3 years extensive experience in a variety of maintenance trades required.
- Requires a broad knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance.
- Wisconsin Electrician License preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and perform metric conversions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
- The ability to operate various tools and equipment.
- Must be available to report to work if contacted for emergency reasons on weekends, holidays, or irregular hours.
