The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement function, including analyzing ERP software system data to manage components purchasing, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and implementing strategies to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
About the Job:
The Procurement Manager will be a key member of the procurement team, responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels and turnover rates to support production needs. This role involves coordinating with the General Manager and other departments on pricing, delivery issues, and supply chain strategies, as well as assisting in various projects and performing additional duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of components purchasing, ensuring the right materials are available at the right cost, quality, and time, adhering to inventory management goals.
- Maintenance and fostering of positive relationships with vendors through excellent communication, negotiation of material returns or replacements, and management of vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
- Implementation of reorder point purchasing strategies and maintenance of procurement records, including purchase orders and vendor communications.
- Proposal and evaluation of alternate suppliers to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and ensure supply chain resilience.
- Coordination with the General Manager and other departments on pricing, delivery issues, and supply chain strategies. Assistance in various projects and performance of additional duties as assigned.
