We are seeking a Human Resources Director (HRD) to oversee and lead key human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee training, and communications. This role also supervises staff responsible for payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all HR operations. The HR Director plays a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting employee engagement, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.
This role is expected to be on-site in Westlake, OH.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Prepare reports and metrics to evaluate HR initiatives and their impact on organizational goals.
- Manage HR-related budgets and vendor relationships.
Onboarding and Training:
- Design and oversee onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate successfully into the organization.
- Support managers with identifying training needs and development of programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Coordinate compliance training and professional development initiatives.
Employee Relations and Communications:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution.
- Foster open communication between management and staff to promote engagement and morale.
- Develop and distribute internal communications, including policy updates, newsletters, and announcements.
Policy Development and Compliance:
- Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policies to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Monitor HR processes for compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Performance Management and Employee Engagement:
- Support managers in performance review processes and employee evaluations.
- Develop strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Lead initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes.
- Collaborate with department managers to assess staffing needs and job requirements.
Supervision of Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Provide oversight and guidance to the payroll and benefits administrator.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits enrollment, and compliance reporting.
- Review benefits programs and recommend improvements to enhance employee satisfaction.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll processes, and benefits administration.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
