What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Principal position at Dunbar Early Education Center?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Year One: Fully support the themed, experiential learning design of this new campus to ensure the highest level
of success during the startup year.
Direct and manage the instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at the campus level. Provide
leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service in an exploratory learning environment designed to promote
holistic student development through hands-on activities. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of
instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree in educational administration
Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
Certified Texas Teacher Support and Evaluation System (T-TESS) appraiser
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to coordinate campus functions
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Calm and patient demeanor with students and others
Experience:
Experience with Instructional Leadership in Early Childhood Education preferred
Two years of experience as a classroom teacher
Two years of experience in leading instruction
Salary : $54,087 - $78,643
