Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer provides strategic oversight and management of CGCPI’s financial operations, reporting, and long-term financial planning. This role serves as a key advisor to the CEO on all financial and business strategy matters, ensuring responsible fiscal decision-making, regulatory compliance, and asset protection. Additionally, this position provides leadership to the strategic direction for the Company’s HR planning, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and best practices.
Financial Leadership & Strategy:
- Directs all aspects of CGCPI’s fiscal operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, capital allocation, financial reporting, risk management through effective internal controls, and auditing.
- Advises the CEO on M&A activity, including deal fit analysis, risk assessment, valuation, negotiation strategy, and due diligence.
- Monitors Company financial performance and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Identifies and mitigates financial risks while leveraging opportunities to enhance profitability and sustainability.
- Ensures all financial activities comply with applicable legal, tax, bank and regulatory requirements.
- Provides direct leadership to the Corporate Treasurer, VP of Tax, and Corporate Controller, with oversight of all Accounting/Finance positions within the CGCPI Corporate office. Provides dotted-line oversight of subsidiary CFOs/Controllers.
Corporate Governance & Board Relations:
- Serves as a key executive advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors (BOD) as well as Corporate Secretary for each company within the consolidated group.
- Develops and presents financial reports, forecasts, and strategic insights to the BOD.
- Leads planning, direction, and execution of BOD meetings, ensuring productive engagement with corporate and subsidiary leadership teams.
- Oversight and management of corporate records for the consolidated group.
Human Resources:
- Provides strategic guidance for HR planning, compliance, and operational effectiveness by serving as a member of the Corporate Talent Council.
- Collaborates with HR leadership to ensure alignment of talent management, compensation, and benefits with business objectives.
