Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Mental Health Clinician (social worker, counselor) to join our team on a part-time basis. This position has the potential to evolve into a larger role, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building and shaping programs from the ground floor. We would need to build a caseload for you!
The ideal candidate will be neuro-affirming, LGBTQ affirming, and committed to anti-racist work. They will work collaboratively with a diverse group of children and families in a clinical setting, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules. A deep love of crafting and snacks is also strongly encouraged, though not required.
While the caseload will likely largely consist of Autistic folks and children with sensory needs, there is also flexibility to expand and add clientele based on your particular area of specialty.

Requirements
- Master’s Degree in from an accredited program (social work or counseling)
- Both limited license and fully licensed mental health clinicians will be considered for this position, though supervision for a limited license clinician will be the responsibility of the applicant
- Current Michigan state licensure
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Commitment to neuroaffirmation, inclusion, and anti-racism
Essential Skills
- Previous experience and/or training in the area of Autism Spectrum disorder is preferred
- Previous experience and/or training in play-based therapy is highly preferred
- Time management and organizational skills
- Self-starter and high level of initiative
- Engaging and thoughtful interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and their parents as well as with other team members
- Reliability and flexibility
- Value representation, diversity, and inclusion
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high quality, evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions for children with various mental health conditions
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collection of data and maintenance of records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team of speech-language pathologists and our partner occupational therapists
- Communicate openly and honestly with families
- Potentially support school districts (virtually or in-person) with social work services
