Description
Provide customer service in Food and Nutrition Services. Follow food-handling and health and safety regulations and best practices. These responsibilities may differ among location, depending on business necessities, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Interact with customers or patients.
- Perform short order/grill duties to prepare food for customers.
- Operate ordering system or cash register, terminal, or software.
- Process customer cash, check, and non-cash payments.
- Arrange attractive food and food-related displays.
- Break down, clean, and/or and sanitize areas or equipment.
- Wash pots by hand and/or place them in a dishwashing machine or 3 compartment sinks.
- Record washing and sanitizing temperatures on HACCP logs per meal, three times a day.
- Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
- Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors.
- Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
- Retrieve dirty trays from floors or units.
- Transfer supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room.
- Clean equipment using specific chemicals to insure sanitary standards.
- Polish silver.
- Buff floors and steam clean trash cans.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, steam tables, and other equipment.
- Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
- May assist in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operate equipment with peripheral electronic data processing.
- Prepare for service before the meal and clean the dining room after the meal.
- Uniforms must be worn in accordance with dress code requirements.
- Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Utilization of assistive devices for lifting is mandatory.
- Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Per DRH policy, all required conditions of employment must be met and maintained including required vaccinations.
- Implement DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicate with others. Basic ability to use technology related to job duties and responsibilities. Ability to effectively follow applicable regulations, policies, and/or procedures. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position. Attention to detail.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent or work-related experience preferred. Must have basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.). Ability to read information on papers and computer screens. Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Oklahoma food handler’s permit preferred. For those positions requiring travel, a current valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained. Blood borne pathogen training

This position requires respirator and fit testing. Required testing will be performed on all team members at risk for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet producing procedures, or any caustic chemicals.
