What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storeroom Clerk II, Materials Management position at Duncan Regional Hospital?
Stock inventory items, deliver supply carts or other items, fill requisitions, make courier runs, and assist in general storeroom functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Retrieves depleted supplies and accurately fills supply exchange carts with needed supplies per departmental procedure as often as needed.
- Inventories supply levels in supply rooms, inputs data into computer, generates pick list, pulls needed supplies, and stocks next supply cart for delivery.
- Makes courier run and delivers departmental paperwork per departmental procedures.
- Identifies and removes outdated and contaminated supplies per departmental procedures.
- Drive to and from multiple locations to accurate stock supplies and transport lab samples.
- Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education opportunities including internal and external educational offerings.
- Utilization of assistive devices for lifting is mandatory.
- Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Per DRH policy, all required conditions of employment must be met and maintained including required vaccinations.
- Implement DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Skill in basic computer keyboarding to input information into a database or software. Ability to effectively follow applicable regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Current, valid drivers license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
