We’re seeking a Facility Maintenance Specialist III – Construction Specialist to build, repair, and enhance our park infrastructure. What You’ll Do:
- Lead and execute construction projects, including carpentry, concrete work, and general building repairs.
- Build, repair, and maintain park facilities such as playgrounds, shelters, fences, and pathways.
- Oversee projects from start to finish—researching materials, estimating costs, and ensuring quality craftsmanship.
- Work with a variety of tools, equipment, and materials to complete repairs and new installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair carpentry repairs, plumbing, and minor electrical issues to keep park facilities in top shape.
- Train, guide, and supervise part-time, seasonal, and full-time staff on construction and repair projects.
What You Bring:
- 5 years of experience in construction, carpentry, concrete work, or related trades. (Carpentry expertise preferred.)
- Ability to lead projects independently while managing a team.
- A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset to handle various structural repairs.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, operate construction equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
- Certifications & Licenses: A Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days). A valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and willingness to obtain a Pesticide Operator’s License within 90 days.
- Bonus points for experience operating heavy equipment or being bilingual!
