What You’ll Do
As a Seasonal Horticulture Assistant, you’ll:
- Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining flowers, trees, and shrubs.
- Monitor plant health and identify issues like pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Safely operate and maintain horticulture tools and equipment.
- Remove weeds, debris, and litter to keep landscaped areas clean and attractive.
- Support seasonal plantings, restoration projects, and park beautification efforts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
Who You Are
You're a motivated team player with:
- A love for nature and an eagerness to learn about horticulture.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Experience with horticulture, landscaping, or plant care (preferred but not required).
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish (a plus).
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekend or holiday hours may be required, as well as extended hours as needed.
- This is a seasonal position, ideal for those looking for an active outdoor job!
