The Dundee Township Park District is looking for enthusiastic Swim Lesson Instructors to help our community develop swimming skills, confidence, and a love for the water!
- Provide safe and effective swim instruction to participants of all ages and skill levels.
- Teach swimming techniques and water safety in an engaging, friendly, and encouraging manner.
- Tailor lessons to meet individual abilities and progress through established lesson plans.
- Foster a fun, supportive atmosphere that helps build participants' confidence in the water.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a hazard-free environment and responding quickly to emergencies.
- Communicate regularly with participants and their parents about their progress.
- Assist with other Park District duties as needed and support the team to create a positive experience for all.
- A passion for swimming and teaching.
- A positive, friendly attitude that encourages others.
- The ability to adapt teaching methods to fit each participant's skill level.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm in emergencies.
- A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- A minimum age of 15 years old (no prior experience required!). (work permit required if under 16 years of age)
