Job Description:
Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning guest rooms as assigned and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained. They are also responsible for reporting any maintenance issues found while they are cleaning guest rooms and ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
Job Duties:
· Clean assigned guest rooms as issued by Supervisors or Managers.
· Transport caddie and cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, terry and linens to the assigned guest rooms and position securely.
· Remove all dirty terry and linen and replace with a clean par to resort standards.
· Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from all areas in guest rooms.
· Vacuum and mop floors in guest rooms to remove all build up and debris.
· Open all drawer/doors in check-out rooms and remove items left by the guest. Turn the lost and found items into management daily.
· Check under all beds/sofas and remove any debris if present.
· Inspect condition of furniture, supplies and amenities and replace/report if needed.
· Update daily boards with status of rooms as you clean throughout the day.
· Secure assigned keys daily and return them at the end of each shift.
· Timely follow up on additional requests from management and work with other departments as a team to ensure all standards are maintained.
Job Requirements:
· This position is 100% work in guest rooms.
· Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
· Minimum of 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred.
· Other duties not listed may be required.
