Overview:
Kitchen and Equipment Repairs
- Coffee Machines: Fixing issues like clogs, calibration problems, or electrical malfunctions in espresso machines or drip coffee makers.
- Ovens and Toasters: Repairing broken heating elements, sensors, or conveyor belts.
- Refrigeration Units: Troubleshooting temperature inconsistencies, replacing worn seals, or repairing cooling systems in freezers, refrigerators, or ice machines.
- Blenders and Mixers: Replacing motor parts, blades, or controls.
Building and Structural Repairs:
- Plumbing: Fixing leaks, unclogging drains, or replacing faucets and water lines.
- Electrical Repairs: Replacing light bulbs and fixing outlets
- HVAC Systems: Conducting minor repairs like replacing filters, cleaning ducts, or addressing airflow issues.
- Doors and Windows: Adjusting hinges, replacing broken handles, or sealing drafts.
- Flooring: Patching tile, fixing loose boards, or cleaning/replacing grouting.
Technical Aptitude:
- Equipment Operation and Repair
- Understanding how coffee machines, ovens, refrigerators, and ice machines function.
Identifying and resolving mechanical or electrical malfunctions in store equipment.
Aesthetic and Minor Renovation Repairs:
- Painting: Touching up walls to cover scuffs or damage.
- Sheetrock: Repairing holes or cracks in drywall.
- Furniture/Fixture Repairs: Fixing seating, tables, counters, or display units.
Safety and Operational Repairs:
- Store Signage: Replacing bulbs or fixing external signs.
Preventative Maintenance Tasks:
- Replacing Worn Parts
- Cleaning Components: Removing grease or buildup from machines to improve efficiency.
- Calibrating Machines: Ensuring all equipment operates at the correct settings.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, or in a similar role (typically 2 years preferred).
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment such as drills, saws, screwdrivers, and multimeters.
Communication - Strong communication skills to collaborate with store managers and staff effectively.
Organization and Attention to Detail - Ability to maintain an organized workflow, prioritize tasks, and keep detailed maintenance records.
Physical Ability - Capable of lifting heavy equipment, working in tight spaces, and performing tasks that require climbing, kneeling, or standing for extended periods.
Additional Responsibilities:
Emergency Support:
- Be available for on-call emergencies to address urgent maintenance issues during or outside of business hours.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
- Assist in ordering necessary supplies to ensure smooth operation.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
