As Regional Director of Operations, the successful candidate will have direct responsibility for the performance and profitability of a region consisting of 4 Multi-Unit Managers, 25 General Managers and 700 employees at the restaurant level, with accountability for the day-to-day operations of 22 restaurants in their assigned region with the goal of operational excellence, consistent adherence to brand standards, exceptional service, and development of employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees management, budget compliance, and overall operations of 22 Dunkin restaurants to ensure exceptional customer service, high quality foods, crew development, food safety, store cleanliness, and maximum profitability.
- Creates and maintains a people first culture in the restaurants
- Ensures a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for safety, food safety, and sanitations guidelines; comply with all applicable laws
- Ensures Brand standards, recipes and systems are executed
- Creates and fosters an environment that builds an "ownership" mentality in our restaurant-level managers and staff
- Leads team meetings geared toward the professional development of our Managers
- Provides coaching and feedback to Multi-Unit, Restaurant, and General Managers regarding Brand standards, sales, marketing, and labor and food costs
- Ensures 100% compliance and effectiveness of the company’s baking system to ensure low waste and increased profitability
- Maintains communication, acts as a liaison with Dunkin’ Business Consultant, and provides a positive focus on the network culture and values
- Builds and maintains a strong team through hiring, training, and developing leaders, providing clear, consistent direction, and recognizing individual and team contributions.
- Maintains standards and expectations in food quality, guest service, food safety, store cleanliness, and financial performance
- Achieves and maintains "Operational Excellence" in the Dunkin’ restaurants in the assigned area
- Demonstrates competency in every position in the restaurant
- Responsible for all phases of the restaurants’ performance and is the ultimate decision maker for his/her restaurants
- Provides clear, consistent communications on a frequent basis with the Restaurant Managers
- Demonstrates respect for individual employees and appreciation for their efforts and contributions
- Ensures the compliance of HRG network policies and procedures (people, safety, assets, cash, etc.)
- Partners with training resources within network to ensure compliance and action plans for completion of training for positions within the restaurant
- Provides oversight for all preventative maintenance programs and systems
- Ensures communication and proper execution of all marketing programs throughout the network
- Manages the financial targets within the network for Sales, Production, Food Cost, Labor, and Profitability
- Ensures compliance with all Federal and State labor laws within network
- Depending on the needs of the business and/or department, may complete other duties as assigned to advance a particular project or resolve a business issue
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of hospitality, multi-unit supervisory experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong command of language and general communication skills
- Strong supervisory and organizational skills
- Has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills in conjunction with commitment to operational and training systems as well as company concept philosophies and people practices
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
- A.A. in related field or equivalent in education and experience
