Part-Time position: HR Representative/Recruiter
Summary:
The HR Representative/Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Essential Functions
- Performs administrative tasks and HR functions as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
- Responds to employee verification requests and verification letters.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job postings and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Administers job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens MIT and corporate applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules MIT and corporate interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders, as needed.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Functions: Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned as needed. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Typical Physical Demands: The employee works in an office setting and is regularly required to type, file, or lift office supplies up to 15 pounds. The employee may be required to, bend, stoop, sit or stand on a frequent basis and for extended periods of time.
Special Requirements:
- Must have a valid state driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to work an average of 15 hours per week.
- Must be willing to work odd hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of recruiting, human resources retail or supervisory experience is required.
- Associates degree in HR, Business Management or 2 years related experience, preferred.
- Must be able to fluently speak and read English.
- Basic computer and writing skills.
Position Type:
This is a part-time, non-exempt position.
Travel: Local travel to various store locations may be required at times.
