Production Supervisor
Dunlop Protective Footwear in Havre de Grace (MA) is the global market leader in safety footwear within the boots segment. With an excellent brand name and a worldwide position of its Purofort products, Dunlop is active in the design, development and manufacture of high quality boots. It offers its customers worldwide high quality safety boots for professional use in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, construction, infrastructure, mining and oil & gas. The three advanced production locations are located in Leiria (Portugal), Havre de Grace (USA) and Raalte (The Netherlands) were also the organization's headquarter is located.
Position Overview :
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Essential Functions :
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
- Provide leadership through a 30-day planning cycle.
- Manage QDRs.
- Perform accident investigations.
- Maintain proper inventory levels.
- Manage department priorities.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
- Report daily results against KPI measures.
- Complete all assigned paperwork accurately
- Champion continuous improvement projects.
- Strong and consistent communication across shift and hand off with other Supervisors and departments.
Competencies :
Supervisory Responsibility :
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, with some weekends required.
Travel :
No travel is expected for this position.

Compensation :
We offer competitive wages commensurate with job skills, experience, education and geographic location. The starting range for this role is $60,000 – 70,000 plus a 7% bonus opportunity.
