Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions with basic math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and payment handling.
- Engage with customers to provide information about menu items and promote sales effectively.
- Adhere to food handling safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred, particularly in a café or food service setting.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus, along with knowledge of various coffee types.
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations accurately.
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
- A strong desire to help others and create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
