Summary Manage, supervise, and administer the implementation of the project-specific QC Plan.

No travel required, will be home nightly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Our QMS is based on ISO 9001 so they would need an understanding of that.
  • Also, and understanding of IBC Special Inspections, and more trades than just welding, will be important.
  • Able to resolve question and address concerns directly with both the customer and Dunn Supervision.
  • Able to develop or help develop and ensure execution of ITP’s including but not limited to the following.

  • Doors & Hardware
  • Painting
  • Drywall

  • Lightning Protection
  • We use Auto Desk Construction Cloud (BUILD) for document tracking, and as-builts so understanding that or similar systems would be a plus.
  • Coordinate QC inspections, test procedures, and instructions.
  • Control, index, and maintain all project QC procedures, instructions, records and documents. Log, distribute, control and file all technical documents and changes to them, assuring all obsolete documents are recalled.
  • Evaluate quality control activities, records, documentation and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stopping work for QC deficiencies.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plan development and implementation would also be important.
  • Experience on Southern Company, Fluor, or USACE projects would be a plus but not required.
  • Read and interpret drawings and other contract documents.

Experience

Minimum five years related experience and/or training. Knowledge of the construction process means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. Â Very strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Â Proven leadership qualities and skills with the desire to teach and mentor staff.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
