Job description
Dunn Lumber, the 2022 LBM Dealer of the Year, has an opening for a Material Handler at our store in Lake Geneva, WI. This position offers a competitive wage and a great benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, profit sharing, PTO, flex spending, and more!
Responsibilities:
- The loading and unloading of trucks safely, efficiently and effectively.
- Stocking materials as assigned.
- Build loads for delivery.
- Driving a vehicle in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
- Ensure the customer is always serviced first by providing safe, timely and efficient delivery service of building materials.
- Operating a fork truck.
- Check load to ensure it is properly secured and the correct material and amount of material is being delivered before leaving the yard.
- Keep lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Previous warehouse or forklift experience is preferred.
- Repetitive lifting of up to 35 pounds, 70lbs occasionally and the ability to bend and twist in awkward positions.
- Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required.
