SUMMARY
Installs machinery and equipment in Paper Mill by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Regular attendance is an essential function.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Dismantles machines.
- Moves machinery and equipment.
- Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, and conveyors, etc.
- Constructs foundation for machines.
- Aligns machines and equipment.
- Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
- Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
- Requires ARC & TIG welding experience.
- Practices good housekeeping techniques ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintains good overall appearance and condition of work area and equipment.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLSET, EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION ATTAINMENT:
Degree from Technical school / Certified Journeyman required; with four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
DESIRABLE SKILLSET, EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION ATTAINMENT :
- State Millwright Journeyman Certification required.
- Forklift Operators License
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures.
- Ability to write correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
