Position Title: HVAC Student Worker
Wage: $15.97
Number of Openings: 1
HVAC department has a position available for a student worker to assist the faculty. Preferred applicants will be an HVAC student, a 2 student who is a graduate of an HVAC program, or a Mechanical Engineering student who has the ability to work in the afternoon. First year students, especially those with HVAC experience, are encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties:
- Office tasks, such as creating copies, filing, and typing
- Classroom and Lab support (cleaning, resource organization)
- Event Support for Open Houses (typically 3-7pm 1 time per month), Orientation, and Construction Sciences & Building Technology (CSBT) Department events
- Physical labor, such as moving desks, chairs, and equipment
- Technical work, such as fixing laboratory jobs
Qualifications
- Available to work daily after class (exception Open Houses); 17 hours per week during school and up to 40 hours during breaks and summer.
- Software skills: MS Office and Outlook preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Ability to initiate communications with faculty each working day.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks.
