We are seeking a versatile, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Bartender/Server. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to serve and craft exceptional drinks while providing top-tier service to guests in both the bar and dining areas.

Job Responsibilities:

Bartender Duties:

• Craft and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits, ensuring that all drinks are made to Duo’s standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to bar patrons by engaging with them, recommending drinks, and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and ensuring the bar is fully stocked for the next shift.
• Keep track of drink orders, accurately input them into the POS system, and serve drinks promptly.
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age, and adhere to responsible alcohol service protocols.
• Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Server Duties:

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and describe daily specials or recommend dishes and drinks.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly, ensuring that all guest preferences and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of presentation and attention to detail.
• Monitor tables throughout the dining experience to ensure guests’ needs are met, refilling drinks, and assisting with additional requests.
• Process payments, including cash, credit cards, or gift cards, and provide guests with change and receipts.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning dining areas, resetting tables, and maintaining a tidy, organized work environment.

General Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Stay knowledgeable about the restaurant’s menu, drink offerings, and special promotions to provide excellent recommendations to guests.
• Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in bartending and/or serving in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask while providing excellent service.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, as well as the ability to suggest pairings and make recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, engaging personality.
• Must be of legal drinking age and have the ability to serve alcohol responsibly.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods and handle guest concerns with grace.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
