What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office / Receptionist for Dental Office - BILINGUAL PREFERRED position at Duong Family Dentistry?
We are seeking a full time (36 to 40 hours/week), preferably bilingual (Spanish speaking) receptionist for our dental office on Northwest 23rd Street in Oklahoma City.
The ideal candidate is cross trained or willing to be cross trained between front and back office. More than anything, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us (training will be provided), who enjoys helping people and help run an office, and who is interested in the world of dentistry with all its possibilities!
Essential Functions:

- Provide outstanding customer service for each patient in every day interactions (go above and beyond)
- Be a good team player, have mutual respect for the team, always ready to learn from your team to create an exceptional experience for the patients.
- Efficiency in maintaining the schedule and patient flow
- Self-motivation and engagement
- Experience as a Master Scheduler with EagleSoft is highly preferred.
- Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, label making software, copier printer and scanner.
- Maintain records and correspondence files.
- Stand and greet patients, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory cases and faxes, to appropriate staff.
- Perform various clerical or administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
- Interview patients to complete documents, health histories, or forms, such as intake or insurance forms.
- Complete insurance verification forms.
- Position is responsible for pulling and accurately filing charts.
- Ensures printed material and forms are up to date. Registration forms annually, insurance verification forms semi-annually and Soonercare forms are updated daily.
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Customer Service Skills: 2 years (Preferred)
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): (Required)
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary and training will be provided, however, experience with dental front office, working with Eaglesoft, and any dental assisting is a plus.
