We are seeking a highly motivated, growth minded, and detail-oriented Sales Representative to join our Rail Inspection Portal (RIP) team. This position will be based in our corporate Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. The successful candidate will be positioned to learn the technology and industry from the ground up and earn the opportunity to lead the sales team as the business grows. Our Sales team is supported by a group of rail industry professionals who have decades of experience in the rail car industry as well as a team of IT professionals dedicated to the product line.
Tasks/Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new customer opportunities, research potential accounts, and solicit new business.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data within CRM.
Participate in selected trade shows, conferences, and industry-related events to generate leads, network, and stay connected with the industry.
Negotiate prices with prospects/customers, close sales contracts, and prepare sales reports.
Continually research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, industry trends, and competitors’ activities to e?ectively position our offerings.
Establish and build strong relationships with key decision makers within the industry, including C-level executives.
Work with engineering teams to ensure that proposed solutions are technically viable and commercially competitive.
Listen actively, communicate effectively, and present complex technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
Keep leads, prospects, and customers informed about new products and solutions.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of proven success in sales, preferably software or serving the railroad industry.
Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the company products work. (We will Train on specifics)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to identify and follow up on leads.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Exceptional skills in selling technical products/solutions and closing deals.
Knowledge of sales promotion techniques.
Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance.
Willingness and ability to travel as required to meet with customers/prospects and attend industry events.
A resilient and positive personality that is driven to succeed.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, or a related field a plus.
Compensation
In addition to a generous commission structure, base salary for this position is $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience.
