What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health - Compliance Coordinator position at DuPage County Health Department?
Our Environmental Health Team at the DuPage County Health Department is looking to fill position within our team due to a retirement. We have an opening for a Compliance Coordinator. This is an ideal role for an experienced Environmental Health Practitioner, who seeks an environmental health position without being in the field.
This is a full-time position. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM -4:30PM may include some evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position once the probationary period is completed, may be eligible for remote/hybrid work status.
This position is eligible for a full DuPage County comprehensive benefit package to include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health or a related filed which required a minimum of thirty semester hours or forty-five quarter hours in the physical and/or biological sciences, and three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Paid HR New Hire orientation, in Wheaton, on site, is required.

- Monitors and implements training and standardization of environmental health staff
- Coordinates with epidemiology staff and other department supervisors in situations involving food borne illness
- Provides training workshops on different environmental health programs
- Prepares quarterly and annual reports
- Implements the posting of service unit information on internal and external websites
