- Ensures needed supplies accompany residents on outings.
- Guides Recreation / Life Enrichment Staff and volunteers during food related activities and outings.
- Operates the wheelchair lift. Secures residents, wheelchairs, and walkers in the vehicle per requirements.
- Transfers residents from wheelchair to vehicle chair as needed. .
- Helps coordinate unit based, facility based, and community based recreational events with the support of the Recreation / Life Enrichment Staff
- Reviews resident diet and food consistency needs prior to delivery of meals and snacks at All House Events and Outings
- Consults with licensed nursing staff regarding residents' diet and food consistency needs.
- Oversees meals and provides hands-on feeding assistance to residents with altered diets or complicated feeding needs.
- Provides support for resident ADL's during Recreation / Life Enrichment Activities as needed. Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience :
- Completion of the State of Illinois Certified Nurse's Aide Training Program
- Passing score on the State of Illinois Competency test
- Must be registered as active with a clear record on the State of Illinois registry
- Must be 18 years of age or olderCandidates that have the State of Illinois Certified Nurse's Aide Training Program completedwithout a passing score on the State of Illinois Competency test must receive a passing score within 120 days of employment.A post-offer physical is required.A pre-employment background check is required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and / or arms to provide personal care, crouch or stoop and lift and transfer a maximum of 50 lbs. independently
