OVERALL DESCRIPTION :
The Assistant Principal, Operations will assist the Principal in providing leadership in meeting the district's mission and goals by providing high quality educational services and programs throughout the district. The Assistant Principal, Operations will assist the Principal substantially and effectively in the task of providing leadership in developing, achieving and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist the principal in developing and supporting school-wide goals and projects.
- Coordinate the student course selection process and develop a comprehensive staff needs projection report which brings together student needs and district resources in an educationally sound and efficient process.
- Develop a comprehensive annual schedule for teachers including class, period, and room assignments.
- Develop a semi-annual master schedule for students including the assignment of teachers, classrooms, homerooms, and counselors.
- Assume responsibility of the scheduling of the school facilities.
- Develop a semi-annual supervision schedule for teachers including period and room assignments.
- Assume responsibility for evaluation of certified and non-certified staff members and assist with other necessary functions of personnel management as directed by the principal (interviewing, orienting, in-service training, etc.)
- Assume responsibility for the development and implementation of the building budget.
- Implement and administer the building budget including coordination of ordering, delivery, and repair of supplies and equipment.
- Assume responsibility for the delivery of scheduled data reporting such as report cards, transcripts and attendance figures as well as responsibility for local, state, and federal reports.
- Provide general supervision and support to staff.
- Assume responsibilitiy for the oversight of instructional fee collection, reconciliataion accountability, disbursement and reporting.
- Supervise student behavior at athletic contests, dances, plays and other student activities as appropriate.
- Direct and coordinate various administrative processes.
- Promote and develop partnerships with local businesses.
- Demonstrate ethical, trustworthy, and professional behavior.
- Demonstrate values, beliefs, and attitudes that inspire others to higher levels of performance.
- Coordinate communication of school and district policies as assigned (ie. school handbools, parent communications, and other communications.)
- Occasionally serve as the administrative leader in the absence of the Principal.
- Oversee and coordinate building crisis management plan. Serves as incident commander during crisis.
- Perform other tasks and assume responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :
Salary / benefits determined by the Board of Education.
Starting Salary - $114,000 annually or higher commensurate with equivalent work experience
Performance evaluated annually in accordance with the District administrative performance evaluation process.
