Have previous experience working with children? Looking for a way to inspire children to be physically active, outside of a traditional classroom setting? Soccer Shots introduces soccer and character development skills to children ages 2-8, on site at schools, preschools and childcare centers. We offer rewarding work and flexible scheduling. Soccer Shots is looking for candidates willing to work at our partner sites across DuPage County including (but not limited to) Addison, Burr Ridge, Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn, Lisle, Naperville, Wheaton & Woodridge. DAYTIME AVAILABILITY IS A MUST!

We are looking for PART TIME coaches (3-10 sessions per week) to assist with our 2020 seasons! Sessions run during daytime and evening, Monday-Sunday.

We pay $12 per 30-45 minute session to assist another coach and $18 if promoted to head coach. Training begins immediately. You will be paid $12 per session during training where you'll get to observe and learn from our fantastic team! We operate four 8-10 week seasons per year, so there is some time off between seasons. We provide you with lesson plans and all equipment necessary.

Our coaches serve as role models and mentors, embrace and exemplify our core values, and are able to connect with a large group of young children. They are caring, patient, enthusiastic, reliable, love kids, have no problem being silly, are physically active, and have some knowledge of soccer. The ideal applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Passion and Experience Working with Children: Kid tested, kid approved! Previous experience working with young children (2-8 years old).
• Responsible and Reliable: Arrives on time to each session, can effectively teach a group of 10 or more very young children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots director, etc. You must have reliable transportation and be able to commute throughout DuPage County.
• Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director, self-assured.
• Remarkable: Enthusiastic and high energy. Must enjoy interacting with young kids, be able to connect with kids ages 2-8, make the Soccer Shots session the highlight of every child's week.
• Soccer Smarts: Official soccer experience is not required. However, having some familiarity with the game either as a player or coach will be helpful.
• Physical Demands and Work Environment: Soccer Shots classes require instructors to be physically fit and support an active lifestyle. The work environment during a typical class can be indoor or outdoor (weather permitting) and the noise level is usually moderate to loud. Coaches must be able to carry an equipment bag that contains 14 balls, nets, and more.
  
  
  

Soccer Shots can work around varying schedules. In addition to the above, a successful candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, submit to and pass a background check and be fingerprinted/undergo a medical exam in accordance with DCFS standards.
