JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose
This position provides guests with a fun and engaging experience in the clubhouse restaurant by demonstrating strong food knowledge, solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong teamwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve customers in a positive and friendly manner making guests feel appreciated and welcome Guide guests
through all stages of their clubhouse experience
- Learn and describe Food and Beverage features on a daily basis
- Maintain and coordinate service at the table with the help of fellow team members
- Work alongside service assistants in clearing and re-setting tables and delivery of food and beverage in a
team-driven environment
- Demonstrate proper knowledge and service methods in the delivery of Food & Beverage offerings
- Work with a sense of urgency at all times to provide pro-active service to anticipate guests needs
- Operate point of sale system. Tabulate and charge customers for orders, accept payments, and accurately
complete reporting according to procedures and policies
- Communicate with supervisors, management and all other service staff regarding all customer needs
comments or incidents
- Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the FPDDC, DuPage Golf and Health Department for all health
and safety regulations
- Perform all opening and closing tasks
- Perform other duties as required
Education and Experience Required
Related Experience: Casual/Upscale Casual restaurant experience, High-volume serving experience preferred. Food and
Beverage pairing, and experience serving craft cocktails and craft beers is also desirable.
Minimum Qualifications, special training or other license, certification,etc.: Must be 19 years of age at the time of hire, ability to obtain Illinois Food Handler Training and Certification and possession of Beverage Alcohol Sellers and
Servers Education and Training (BASSET) Program certification within 30 days of employment.
Schedule and Availability: Availability to work should include opening shifts and weekend and holidays, based on customer traffic and business needs.
Knowledge Of: Food safety, seating charts, proper serving techniques, alcohol safety, restaurant tableware and local draft beer varieties.
Skills In: Communication skills, conflict resolution, customer service oriented attitude, service procedures wine service, and high volume service.
