Our in-house services include : 4K film scanning & remastering, Blu-ray / DVD authoring, mezzanine package creation & QC for digital release, technical editing and asset conform, standards conversion, subtitling, and audio restoration / up mix.
Job Summary :
The Film Remastering Technical Ops Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical operations involved in the remastering of films and TV shows. This role requires extensive experience in mastering operations, color management, and the complete film remastering workflow. The manager will lead a team of professionals, ensuring the highest quality in film remastering and delivery according to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop the complete film remastering workflow, including scanning, color correction, restoration, and output. Continuously improve the workflows based on business needs.
- Manage, train and coordinate team members, create schedules, and resource plan to ensure timely project completion.
- Prioritize tasks and workflows to ensure delivarables based on project scheduling and client expectations.
- Ensure compliance with Studio Delivery Specification requirements for ProRes, IMF, and Image Sequence Deliveries.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SDR / HDR color spaces and color management workflows, including Dolby Vision.
- Utilize and oversee the use of ColorFront Transkoder and Davinci Resolve to ensure correct processes are followed.
- Ensure all film conform processes are followed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of film history, aspect ratios, cuts of films, and production processes.
- Collaborate with audio teams for remastering and new audio mixes when necessary.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and technologies in film remastering and color management.
