The DuPont Country Club is currently looking for a part-time Racquets Retail Associate to join our team and focus on providing the highest quality of service for our membership in our Racquets Department. Provides excellent customer service to all customers by creating a clean, knowledgeable, and well represented retail environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction
- Strings rackets and performs routine racket maintenance
- Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property
- Familiar with the NorthStar Operating system and its processes
- Comfortable with cash transactions and receiving payment via credit card and check
- Displays knowledge of all merchandise in the tennis pro shop
- Engages customers and is active in trying to increase in-store sales
- Maintains in cleanliness in the shop and sales floor appearance
- Directs customers to the appropriate merchandise
- Performs daily department tasks including stocking, creating merchandise displays, remerchandising, pricing markdowns, transferring merchandise, inventory control, and processing transactions
- Properly represents the club in state or national events as time will permit
- Promotes tennis clinics, special events, and programs in an effort to attract and maintain members’ tennis interests
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Racket Stringing experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, licenses and registrations required: USPTA Liability Insurance, Sexual Assault and Molestation Insurance, sufficient background checks
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite
