We are hiring The Manufacturing Technical Engineer for our Dayton, Ohio site.
This role will provide engineering support to the products and processes on site. The role description is to support product or equipment specific activities for issues for products manufactured on site. DuPont places a high level of emphasis on core values. Your Key Responsibilities :
- In this role, you will focus on upgrading processes and products, ranging from incremental improvements to major technology changes
- Your primary responsibilities will include improving process efficiency, safety, yield, quality, plant capacity, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- You will work closely with a small team of operations specialists and engineers to prioritize and execute efforts for the assets under your responsibility, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
- You will also be responsible for identifying best practices for processes, providing technical oversight of ongoing production, and assisting in the training of operators and mechanics to ensure they understand the fundamentals of the processes
- Additionally, you will design process improvements, implement large programs, lead troubleshooting and root cause failure analyses, and utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Your role will also involve supporting key Process Safety Management (PSM) Technology Elements and the startup and qualification of new equipment
- Collaborate with a team of operations specialists and engineers to prioritize and execute process improvement efforts
- Identify and develop best practices for manufacturing processes in collaboration with technical personnel and operations
- Provide technical oversight of ongoing production processes
- Assist in training operators and mechanics to convey the fundamentals of the processes
- Drive product-by-process through the development and documentation of manufacturing standard processes
- Design and implement process improvements focusing on yield, quality, uptime, and capacity release
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause failure analyses for complex issues
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency
- Ensure adequate basic data is created for CapEx projects and provide resourcing support for commissioning and decommissioning activities
- Support key PSM Technology Elements as needed, including Process Technology and Management of Change
- Support the startup and qualification of new equipment
- Network with broader organizational resources to leverage knowledge and expertise
