The Molykote Business is seeking an Asset Scheduler in support of our ‘line of business’. The asset scheduler is accountable for day-to-day activities required to create and maintain detailed production/supply schedules based on the master scheduling input or established pull signals. Point person between the supply organization and plant to clearly define / understand short term production issues and supply needs between the organizations. Utilizes detailed capacity plans, and interfaces with area managers and supervisors and/or production teams.

Job Description:

Utilizes detailed capacity plans, and interfaces with area managers and supervisors and/or production teams.
Responsibilities:
Key Processes Accountability
- Issue detailed schedule for each asset based on a final time-phased production plan.
- Manage daily production schedules during frozen period (manual control).
- Assure schedule is continually maintained and communicated throughout the supply chain.
- Manage performance standards and analysis methods to compare actual production performance against the established standards (PTS).
- Valid Detailed Daily Schedule
- Valid Master data (supports and escalates issues with BOM, recipes, lead-times, etc.)
- Highlight and actively participate in the identification and resolution of inventory, customer order issues (OEP), and quality issues as they develop. Work closely with order coordinator, Regional Planner, logistics and Material planner personnel.
- Communicate production issues, supply changes, deviations from plan and potential resolutions to appropriate parties (LAS).
- Coordinate secondary processing of finished product (e.g., rework and repackaging).
- Monitoring process orders & assuring closed as needed, accurate process orders are used to maintain system & data integrity.
- Primary interface between manufacturing and supply chain.
- Balance and reconcile production in short term horizon to meet customer requirements and manufacturing needs within policy.
- Validate material availability against asset schedule.
- Works with manufacturing to optimize the plant schedule along with manufacturing capabilities within or around the frozen period.
- Co-ordinates the production planning with maintenance planning and scheduling needs.
- Support process improvement for the production schedule
- Supports new ideas and concepts by communicating and promoting them
- Uses different perspectives to view problems and opportunities
- Reinforces a resilient can-do mentality and pushes for bold actions to deliver on commitments and overcome roadblocks.
- BS/BA Supply Chain, business, or technical field is required
- Collaboration skills required.
- APICS CPIM / CSCP must be obtained on the job within 18 months
- SAP/ERP general competency or ability to learn quickly on the job
