Experimental Station Internship Role Description
Responsibilities of this role include assisting with the operation, monitoring and maintenance of powerhouse equipment including boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, and cooling towers.
Duties Will Include:

On January 15, 2025, we announced that we are targeting November 1, 2025, for the completion of the intended separation of the Electronics business (the “Intended Electronics Separation”)*. We also announced that we would retain the Water business. We are committed to ensuring a smooth and successful separation process for the Future Electronics business. Experimental Station Internship Role Description

Duties Will Include:
Operations:
- Boiler and Refrigeration Operations
- Boiler Interlocks Testing
- Water Chemistry
- Valve Identification and Tagging
- Assist with Lockouts
- Observe and assist with projects
- Steam Turbine Maintenance
- Steam Turbine Overspeed Trip test
- Boiler Fan Maintenance
- Pump Maintenance
- Rebuilding Boiler Sight glass
- Rebuilding Boiler Blowdown Valves
- Calibration and troubleshooting of pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters
- Calibration and troubleshooting of pH, o2, hardness, conductivity and opacity analyzers
- High School diploma /GED required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or technical school in power plant technology or equivalent
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and columns; stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, utilize visual acuity, reach overhead, hear and respond to alarms and work in confined spaces as needed
- Ability to wear provided PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toed shoes, hardhat, Nomex® clothing, protective eyewear, face shields, hearing protection, arc protective clothing, and respirator as needed
- Knowledge of programmable logic controls and other control systems, human machine interface, motor starters/VFDs, Mechanical drive systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team or as an individual
- A valid driver’s license
