DuPont has an immediate opening for Quality Control Laboratory Testers at our Healthcare Industries Materials Site located in Hemlock, MI.
The DuPont Healthcare Industries Materials Site produces products for use in the Biopharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical, Medical, and Cosmetic Industries. The site has been in continuous operation since , dedicated to Healthcare products. Our products are distributed globally and are recognized as World Class for quality.
The Laboratory is staffed 12 hours per day, days per year, excluding some holidays or other site shutdown events. The lab is staffed in a 2-3-2 non-rotating 12-hour shift schedule. The Lab Testers are on-call for in-process testing during the off-shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
Your key responsibilities will be / what you’ll do :
Testing raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
Inspection of incoming raw materials and chemical intermediates to assure quality before use in production
Troubleshooting process problems and evaluating process improvements
Testing includes use of complex and sensitive instrumentation and techniques including but not limited to :
Gas Chromatography, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Physical properties of polymer by Instron Tensometer, Centrifuge, pH. Assay by solvent extraction, Titration, Penetrometer, Mixers, Balances, Pipettes, Computers, Ovens, Incubators, Microscope, Air samplers, Particle Counters, and X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements :
A High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred
2 years of lab experience with some experience in an industrial setting is required;
Experience with SAP is preferred
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices such as 21 CFR / / , ICH Qx, United States Pharmacopeia (USP), European Pharmacopeia (PhEur), Chinese Pharmacopeia (ChP), Japanese Pharmacopeia, ISO , and ISO is preferred
