Your Mission
Envisage and configure purchasing methodologies tailored to specific commodity clusters. Implement and champion best practices in inventory management. Forecast market demands and craft strategic supply plans to ensure unbroken supply lines. Harmonize operational execution with strategic vision to minimize the total cost of ownership. Foster and nourish vendor relationships, addressing both production challenges and performance assessments. Engage in the perpetual refinement of operational procedures, targeting streamlined workflows and minimizing redundancies. Collaborate with sales and engineering teams on product configurations, costing, and timelines. Resolve stock, scrapping, and product obsolescence challenges with planning, operations, and inventory teams.What You Bring
- Practiced procurement skills within a manufacturing context.
- Knowledge of metal and metal-forming procurement (with at least 2 years of hands-on experience).
- Capacity to spearhead procurement projects from conception to completion.
- Proficiency in managing concurrent projects to meet procurement and delivery success metrics.
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and comprehensive technical specs.
- Prior experience in managing outsourced procurement and strategic sourcing is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a closely related discipline.
- 5 years in procurement roles, with a minimum of 2 in a manufacturing setting.
- Certification in CPSM or APICS is desirable.
- Proven ability as a collaborative team member.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, particularly Epicor.
This role is compensated with an annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $135,000, accompanied by a compelling benefits package, inclusive of multiple paid holidays, substantial vacation allowances, and comprehensive health care coverage.
