Overview: As a Welding Machine Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of our customer’s welding equipment. Customers depend on us to identify and fix any issues they bring to us. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of welding machines to minimize downtime and optimize production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and Troubleshooting:
• Inspect malfunctioning welding equipment to identify issues and determine the root cause of problems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to assess electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Repair and Maintenance:
• Perform repairs and replacements of defective parts such as transformers, circuit boards, switches, and wiring.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on welding machines to ensure longevity and prevent breakdowns.
• Calibration and Testing:
• Calibrate welding equipment according to specifications and industry standards.
• Test repaired machines to verify proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports outlining findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work with vendors to acquire parts and develop a deeper understanding of the equipment you work on.
• Coordinate with other maintenance personnel and departments to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support and training to operators on proper use and maintenance practices.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to welding equipment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Welding Machine Repair Technician or similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of welding machine components, electrical systems, and mechanical principles.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification or training in welding equipment repair and maintenance is a plus.
