What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute Teacher, Grades 7-8 Science position at DUQUESNE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT?
The Duquesne City School District is now accepting applications for (1) long-term substitute teaching positions within our K-8 public school located within minutes of Kennywood Amusement Park.
Long-Term Substitute Teacher: Middle School Science
- Current PA teaching certification required, see the list below for acceptable certifications to teach this coursework:
* Elementary K-6 or PK-4 in conjunction with Mid-level Science.
* Gr. 4 – 8 (4-6 all subject, 7-8 Science)
* Gr. 7 – 12 Science
* Another comparable certification that is acceptable to teach 7-8 Graders Science based curriculum.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, higher degree preferred.
- Current Act 33 / 34, Act 114, and Act 151 Clearances required.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing lessons and teaching middle school aged students.
The position report directly to the Bldg Principal; compensation provided is in-line with the current associated collective bargaining agreement.
