This role will support market transformation activities including conducting market research, developing technology adoption forecasts, assisting with grid impacts analysis, conducting research and developing new customer solutions, including innovative rate structures, and assisting with advancing strategic relationships with internal and external leaders. This role will also support the Company’s electrification solution outreach activities on a limited basis, including customer and stakeholder research and pursuing funding opportunities.
Location: Hybrid (see below), downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with regular travel throughout DLC territory
Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs, and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one’s own time and workflow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze solutions and solve problems. Work activities are typically moderate to complex in nature, requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time. Still draws on experts and managers when needed but less frequently.

Problems and issues faced are vague. Draws on past experience on a regular basis. Accountable for direct level of reasoning and decision making.
Hybrid Work
Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.

- Support development of DLC’s electrification and load management strategy with an emphasis on the building and transportation market segments.
- Assist with the development of compelling strategy analyses and plans, business cases, and regulatory proceeding proposals.
- Conduct market research and assessments, policy analysis, technology adoption forecasting, load impact analyses, cost-effectiveness assessments, program development and planning, evaluation analysis, and other related work.
- Support the creation of high-quality, complex analysis, reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to assist with developing a legislative and regulatory strategy that aligns with business objectives.
- Prepare presentations and represent the Company at meetings and events.
- Lead on-going tracking of program performance, KPIs, and preparing regulatory reporting and identify continuous improvement opportunities across the electrification solutions product portfolio.
- Facilitate documentation of data management, governance and quality procedures, methods, and techniques and provide control and oversight for related Data Governance and Quality enterprise-wide processes within the Electrification Solutions business area.
- Support customer and stakeholder research and segmentation activities, outreach plan development and educational content and tools creation and delivery.
- Assist with development of strong strategic relationships with customers, industry associations, and other key stakeholders to promote the company’s interests and objectives.
- Represents the Company at relevant stakeholder and industry meetings and events.
- Support electrification market facilitation efforts including trade ally development, workforce training, and funding opportunities.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy, sustainability, or related field
- Three (3 ) or more years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience with quantitative analysis, electrification or emerging technologies, utilities, energy policy, and/or conducting modeling is highly desired.
- Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex technical topics and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Energy and enthusiasm for creating innovative, sustainable change in the Pittsburgh region.
- Ability to adapt and thrive to support rapidly changing business needs.
- Excellent attention to detail, intuitive, creative, self-motivated, and organized.
- Quantitative aptitude. Excel, PowerBI, R and/or Python experience or familiarity preferred.
