Durable Corporation was founded in 1923 and prides itself on quality and service. We are a manufacturer of products utilized predominately in the material handling industry.
The plant manager oversees the daily operations of the plant, including production, scheduling, maintenance, shipping, and quality. The plant manager also develops strategies to improve plant performance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain plant, equipment and machinery
- Ensure staffing is maintained to meet production needs
- Ensure that quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met
- Ensure that work meets cost, quality, and quantity specifications
- Ensure that the plant complies with regulatory requirements
- Oversees a team of individuals and communicates responsibilities and expectations
- Coordinates with supervisory personnel (shipping, receiving, maintenance, scheduling
- Identify problems, troubleshoot causes and develop solutions
- Ensure all required materials are available in a timely manner
- Developing strategies to create optimal plant performance
- Develops long-range plans
- Administers company policies in a fair and consistent manner
- Performs annual reviews and seeks out opportunities for employee growth
- Establishes strong relationships with customers, vendors and peers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience
- 5 years of management experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
- Ability to make critical decisions to accomplish production goals
- Ability to solve problems and prioritize tasks in plant environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communications skills, who can take initiative and lead a team
- Flexible hands on professional, willing to fill in on production when required
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 10 hour days
