The Duracell Fairburn Plant Engineering organization develops, designs, and delivers technologies to improve our packaging systems. This Industrial Technologies Engineer will work as part of a multi-functional team to drive digitalization in the manufacturing plant via application development, data analysis/collection and MES/MOM improvements.

Position Description:
As the Industrial Technologies Manager, you will lead the technical organization responsible for industrial automation & digitization to achieve the necessary improvements to enable data driven decisions and automated analysis/predictions. The individual will foster an environment that enables collaboration between all affected parties including global and local P&E, IT, Ops and the users and designers of digitization tools or systems to drive digitization throughout the company via machine learning, data analysis/collection, MES/MOM support and other innovative technology that eliminates losses while enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize existing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) applications. This includes distributed automation control applications, data archiving, automation software applications, virtual server control, application databases and reporting tools.
- Develop innovative digital solutions to eliminate inefficiencies in the manufacturing plant.
- Implement software applications to simplify and optimize routine tasks performed by plant operations and supporting departments.
- Use high-level programming languages to implement machine communication, perform data analysis, automate tasks, and develop reporting tools.
- Follow and leverage the proper engineering tools and work processes.
- Partner with plant operations, engineers, and vendors to deliver digitalization projects. Own the project from concept all the way through startup.

Requirements:
- B.S. in Engineering with preferences for Computer or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management, or Computer Science
- Preferred but not required:
- Experience with automated controls technologies. This could include PLC systems, control and communication networks, SCADA (server and standalone) systems, PC based integration software systems, VFD and servo drives, Robotics, vision systems, program and parameter-based instrumentation and other advanced sensor technologies.
- Experience with IT systems.
