Duramax Marine LLC, a 100% Employee-Owned manufacturing company located in Hiram, Ohio is seeking multiple Production Operators to fill various shifts on our team. Duramax Marine is a long-time, dedicated member of the marine industry. Our products are engineered to increase vessel performance to meet the demands of an ever-changing industry.
Shifts Available:
- Full-time, 8 Hour Shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
- Part-time, 8 Hour Shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
The Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality products. This role involves setting up machines, loading materials, performing routine inspections, and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in meeting production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various types of manufacturing machinery, including but not limited to Sand Blasters, Paint Booths, Rubber Extruders, Presses, Autoclaves, CNC Lathes, Manual Lathes, Mills, Routers, Drill Presses, Saws, Laser Etchers.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to produce parts within specified tolerances and dimensions.
- Load and unload materials, parts, and components into machines as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine output to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to machines to correct any defects or deviations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues and malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Report more complex mechanical issues to the manager or lead.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operation.
- Report production progress, machine performance, and any quality concerns to the manager or lead.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Provide feedback on machine operation and suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experiencing operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Advanced knowledge of machining techniques, materials, and tooling.
- Expertise in using precision measuring instruments and quality control methods.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and mentoring.
