What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver/Technician For DME Equipment position at DuraMed?
Our Home Medical Equipment Company has an immediate opening for a DME Delivery Driver/Technician in New Orleans and surrounding areas of Kenner, Metairie, etc. This position will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of home medical equipment to area residents and hospitals, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base.
DME Delivery Driver/Technician Responsibilities:
- Deliver/pick up home medical equipment
- Assemble home medical equipment; Load and unload company van
- Instruct patients on proper use of home medical equipment
- Accurately complete delivery ticket
- Communicate with office for assignments
- Collect patient copays
DME Delivery/Driver Technician Qualifications:
- Good driving record
- Must be able to politely/respectfully communicate with office personnel and patients
- Previous knowledge of DME equipment is helpful
- Computer literate, will be trained to use our DME software
