Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Tri-County Head Start is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, temporary HR & Fiscal Operations Specialist. Work with a mission-driven team working to support low-income and at-risk children and families in beautiful Southwest Colorado. TCHS strives to build positive, goal-oriented relationships with children, families, and staff to engage them in all facets of early education.
This position is a 3-month temporary position that will support the Human Resources and Fiscal Department with various administrative tasks including but not limited to: Compliance, managing contracts, reconciliation, review of monthly reports for accuracy, payroll processing, data entry, employee file management, recruitment and onboarding activities, and other administrative duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School/GED with a minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience OR
- Associate's Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in Accounting, Finance, Management, Human Resources, or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a team or independently
Hourly Rate: Full-time/temporary position with an hourly rate of $28.36 to $30.04 depending on education and experience.
