Job Description
A Budtender is the first line of contact with customers, so they need to be extremely friendly and personable with people. Each Budtender will interact one-on-one with individual customers or customer groups to discuss products and answer a variety of questions. Everyone working within one of our retail stores must have extensive product knowledge and ability to continually learn about new products. You will also help to maintain the sales floor, display cases, waiting room, and storage areas, which includes basic cleaning.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Verify age and review IDs to assure validity and compliance with marijuana laws.
- Bring product from safe room to set up sales floor, restock items, break down and move product to safe room at the end of the day.
- Inventory tasks (counting, stickering, organizing).
- Restocking, labeling backstock, checking inventory tags.
- Use Dutchie software and ticket system for online orders, prepare orders for pick-up.
- Administer rewards programs and associated software applications, enroll customers, process points for redemption.
- Use software and tablets for COVA point-of-sale/inventory system, process payments, make change, assure labeling compliance on sold products before customer leaves.
- Reconcile daily sales, payments, and the money in your assigned drawer. Investigate any found discrepancies before leaving. Communicate any persisting discrepancies with the MOD.
- Cleaning display areas, furniture, equipment, floors, and employee common spaces
- Help ensure a safe and positive working environment.
Job skills and experience should include the following:
- Experience working in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Comprehensive understanding of a large array of marijuana products and flower strains
- Professional, trustworthy, and of good moral character
- Punctuality and dedicated to being part of the team.
- Ability to follow all company standard operating procedures and compliance requirements.
- Cash handling and attention to detail
- Task prioritization
Reports to: Store Manager & Floor Manager
Compensation:
The current wage range for this opening is $15 - $18.00 Tips. Benefits for full-time employees include eligibility to enroll in the company health, dental, and vision group insurance plans, paid sick leave, PTO, employee discount and product samples.
