We are hiring Off-Road Adventure Tour Guides for Durango Rivertrippers LLC. We are seeking energetic and passionate candidates who share a common love and respect for the outdoors and can offer our guests a unique and unforgettable experience while maintaining the highest quality of customer service. This is a SEASONAL job from May-October. The job involves 8 to 10-hour workdays, and the position does involve weekend/holiday shifts split with other team members, as our tours operate 7 days a week. We are looking for both full-time and part-time.candidates.
As an Off Road Adventure Tour Guide you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Tour Narration
Client relations
Vehicle maintenance/inspection record keeping
Safe operation of tour vehicles
Safety of the tour clients
Pre and post trip preparations
Maintain high standards of safety rules and regulations
Neat and professional appearance
Operating the vehicles on the highways and Forest Service roads
Preferences:
Extremely detail oriented
Experience with off road vehicles such as Jeeps.
Current First Aid and CPR
Excellent driving record
·Defensive driving skills and a driver’s license clear of major moving violations
·pass a DOT physical
·Able to conduct tours for up to 10 hours per day
·Team player who is self-motivated and takes initiative; good judgment and problem-solving skills
·Experience with guiding, educating, sales or customer service preferred
·Outdoor enthusiast with an interest in flora, fauna, history, archaeology and geology
·Energetic, enthusiastic and able to converse with a wide variety of people from all over the world
.TIme management and punctual
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position ranges between $15-$17 per hour before tip. This range is based on potential employee qualifications, skills, and operational needs.
