What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025/2026 Head Cheer Coach, Durango High School position at Durango School District 9-R?
Durango School District 9-R is accepting applicatins for Head Cheer Coach, responsible for all aspects of the Cheer program at Durango High School, for the 2025/2026 school year, to include but not limited to the following:
supervision, mentoring, and assist in the evaluation of assistant coaches- administration of budget
- team supervision and discipline
- care and inventory of equipment
- care of facilities
- effective communication with athletes and parents
- involvement with middle school and community based programs
- fundraising
- practice, planning, and preparation for performances and competitions
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid CHSAA Certification, or Colorado Teaching Certificate/License
- Fundamental knowledge of Dance
- Experience working with related school aged athletes/students
- Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff
- Current medical injury treatment course work
