What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute - Special Education Teacher position at Durango School District 9-R?
Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at Florida Mesa Elementary School to work in the Autism Program. This individual will work alonggside the current teacher and Board Certified Behavior Analyst to support the program. This position will not involve lesson planning as the current teacher will continue to perform the lesson planning for the class - this role will provide extra support in the program and work alongisde the team. Position starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year.
Colorado teaching license or substitute authorization required. Colorado teaching license with a Spanish Langauge endorsement or a demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Spanish preferred. Substitute assignment starts as soon as possible.
The rate for long-term substituting is $265 per day.

- Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license. A 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute authorization may also accepted for a candidate with demonstrated Spanish langauge proficiency as outlined above. - Experience working with students in a classroom setting strongly preferred.
