This Role
Our collaborative production team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer located at our Turners Falls, MA production facility. This will be a full time, in-person role reporting to plant leadership.

This Manufacturing Engineer will help improve the efficiency of manufacturing operations at the Turners Falls facility by supporting and improving the facility’s production system, including verifying and improving various manufacturing processes.

This Role
Our collaborative production team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer located at our Turners Falls, MA production facility. This will be a full time, in-person role reporting to plant leadership.
What You Will Do
This Manufacturing Engineer will help improve the efficiency of manufacturing operations at the Turners Falls facility by supporting and improving the facility’s production system, including verifying and improving various manufacturing processes.
How You Will Do It
Process Design and Improvement:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for the production of HVAC systems and components.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Develop and implement process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams.
- Document and review routings and Bill of materials for accuracy
- Collaborate with design and development teams to transition new HVAC products from prototype to full-scale production.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis and provide feedback to improve product designs.
- Specify, design, and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures to support production needs.
- Ensure that all equipment and tools are maintained in good working condition and meet safety standards.
- Work with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the production of high-quality HVAC products.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
- Work with quality assurance teams to monitor and improve product quality and reduce defects.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve production efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in the manufacturing process and implement solutions to reduce production costs.
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow and increase productivity.
- Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and maintain production flow.
- Investigate and troubleshoot production problems, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, efficiency, quality, and cost metrics.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to identify and address potential hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
- Current work authorization in the U.S. without requiring future visa sponsorship required
- Bachelor’s level engineering degree required, industrial engineering ideal
- Previous exposure to manufacturing environments required
- Proven experience training/implementing flow-based manufacturing concepts strongly preferred
- Lean/Six Sigma and/or Black Belt certification strongly preferred.

Salary : $65,000 - $105,000
