This Role

Our team is currently seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst based out of Grand Rapids, MI. This is a full-time, hybrid role (2 days in the office each week) reporting to the Internal Controls Manager.

What You Will Do

The Business Systems Analyst will play an important role by combining expertise in internal auditing with a deep understanding of information systems. They will play an important role in Duravent Group’s success in minimizing risks and protect assets, ensuring accuracy of records, promoting operational efficiency, and encouraging adherence to policies, rules, regulations, and laws.

The Business Systems Analyst will evaluate controls, assess risks, and ensure the effectiveness of an organization’s systems and processes, and encourage adherence to policies, processes, and procedures. Business Systems Analyst will perform reviews, analysis, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. They will document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation. Being a Business Systems Analyst requires function as a liaison between IT and users and having both business and technical expertise.

How You Will Do It

• Review IT information systems, databases, and technology infrastructure. Identify vulnerabilities, security gaps, and potential risks related to internal controls over financial reporting. Collaborate with IT teams to address findings and enhance system security.
• Recommend process enhancements to optimize internal controls through system performance. Streamline workflows, data flows, and access controls. Ensure alignment between business processes, ERPs and other IT systems.
• Assist in risk assessments related to technology initiatives. Monitor system changes and their impact on controls. Contribute to governance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
• Project manager, coordination with IT, and execution of approved system modifications.
• Prepare detailed analysis reports, including findings and recommendations.
• Collect information from numerous functions, divisions and systems to be able to undertake detailed analysis.
• Serve as day-to-day resource to Manufacturing, Purchasing, Distribution and Customer Service to assist in resolving data discrepancies.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2-4 years of experience in a similar role with a focus in the manufacturing industry.
• Being process efficient, and software optimization driven.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, with extensive knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills
• Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information.
• Bilingual (English, Spanish/French) is a plus.
• Current U.S. work authorization without requiring future visa sponsorship.
